Fishing at Lake naomi
Lake Naomi and nearby streams and ponds stock ass, trout, pickerel, pan fish and walleye. Its encouraged to live release all fish. All bass and walleye must be live released.
SEASON, SIZES & CREEL LIMITS
The following species of fish (with their respective seasons, sizes and creel limits) are commonly found in the Lakes and Streams in the Lake Naomi and Timber Trails Community.
Trout: Season opens April 14, 2018. Trout must be at least seven (7) inches in length and each fisherperson may keep four (4) trout per day until the third Saturday in February. From that date all trout are catch and release only. Streams are closed to fishing from the Saturday prior to opening day to opening day.
Bass: Largemouth Bass Season opens on the second Saturday in June. The season closes January 1. No Bass may be kept in any waters of the Lake Naomi Club (Deer Trail Lake, Tall Timber Lake, Judges Pond, Trout Pond, etc.). All Bass must be live released.
Panfish: This category includes sunfish, yellow perch, crappies, and catfish. For each species there is no size limit and you may keep fifty (combined species) per day. These species of fish are in season throughout the entire year.
Chain Pickerel: Although this species is abundant in Lake Naomi, fisherpersons may only keep fish 15" in length or longer and no more than 6 per day. Pickerel are in season throughout the entire year.
Walleye: This species was stocked in Lake Naomi in the Falls of 1998, 2000 and 2001. They were between 5 - 8 inches when they were stocked. All walleye must be live released. This will allow the walleye to grow to reach the legal size limit.
Please Note: All fisherpersons need to have a Lake Naomi Temporary Membership and have identification and a Pennsylvania fishing license for those over 16 years of age. Violators can be fined by the Pennsylvania fishing and boating commission.
